Hello Dear Visitor,
A few swampy 90 degree days have confirmed Summer’s arrival. There are still a few potted plants to be stuck in the dirt, but it’ll get done. Today’s rain allowed me to further indulge my lazy gardener tendencies, the parched plants perked right up. The studio is looking a bit like a teenager’s bedroom; it’s in need of a major tidying up. Summer plans include playing with paste papers (think finger paints for adults), which will show up in the shop if I’m pleased with them. Shop-worthy or not they are fun to make. Before that happens though I have to go clean my room! Enjoy summer’s bright colors, Miss Hellebore

Hello Dear Visitor,
A confession must be made, Miss Hellebore is a gardener with good intentions. While those intentions are said to pave the path to hell, the back garden path is obscured by weeds, perhaps keeping me safe. But if cleanliness is next to Godliness, perhaps Miss Hellebore should still be worried. The housekeeping intentions leave the vacuum sadly idle and dust collecting everywhere! A couple of posts back I mentioned boxes of blank notecards. Those blank notecards, purchased eons ago, with the idea of charming handprinted holiday cards dancing in my head, are still being saved from their unadorned fate. Last week, with a flower paper punch, a hole punch and a few scraps of, needless to say, marbled paper, a few more were decorated. Forgive me for immodestly suggesting, but I think they turned out rather charming. Today is a marbling day, the weeds and dust survive yet again. Fondly, Miss Hellebore. |
