Hello Dear Visitor The magic of summer is amazing, it managed to disappear right before my eyes. How in the world did it do that?!? And how can it be that Thanksgiving menu plans are already being made? While the studio has not been gathering dust, it hasn’t been suffering from over use either. In July Nordstroms requested some paper for their corporate anniversary party. It took a few days to come up with the colors and pattern that pleased them. August, held its own wonder, as a new granddaughter kept me happily occupied outside the studio. In September and October I sent samples off to a bookbinder in Finland. Ultimately they may not use my paper but its been a fun exercise. I get a kick out of marbling and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. The trails from this and the Nordstroms project will probably turn up in my own paper art and bookbinding endeavors. So now here we are in November, the Chicago weather is turning cold and the leaves need raking but its time to dive into the studio and make stuff before a blink of the eyes finds me in 2018. All my best, Miss Hellebore
